What could happen if you plug in too many things at once? There could be a short and your appliances or light bulbs might blow up. Or you’ll lose power. Plus, you might have a really high electric bill if you use a lot of power.

Electricity is so powerful, beautiful, unpredictable and benefits us very well when used carefully and treated with respect. That bolt of lightning that rips through the sky and can split a tree in half straight down the middle (or light up half of the town while I pretend it’s daylight for that split second) is the same electricity contained within your 65 watt light bulb.

So, maybe it’s a good idea to unplug everything unnecessary before the light bulb burns out. Or before I trip over all of those chords..
