I painted this by being inspired by how cats seem to know exactly what they want… until the door they’ve been prancing around opens and they have to walk through the doorway. But I don’t blame them, because once the door is open, then they have all the information they need to decide whether to go through that door or turn back. Some adventures can turn out to be not worth pursuing.
